At our tattoo studio in Canggu, we hold ourselves to the highest hygiene and safety standards. We strictly adhere to a comprehensive set of hygiene practices to ensure this, and all our tattoo artists are trained in the latest sanitation procedures.
Tattoo needles and equipment:
Our tattoo studio in Canggu uses disposable, single-use needles, cling wrap, razors, ink cups, paper towels and gloves for each client, purchased from trusted suppliers around the world. All disposable equipment, including the ink used during a tattoo appointment, is thrown away immediately once the session ends. All surfaces including tattoo beds, stations and other equipment are thoroughly disinfected with 70% alcohol at all times. and open new needles in front of you before starting a new tattoo. To ensure your peace of mind and limit risk of contamination or infection, we open new needles and ink cups in front of you before starting your tattoo.
Tattoo ink:
We only purchase high-quality tattoo inks that are vegan-friendly and not tested on animals. Our brands include Dynamic Ink, imported from Western countries that must adhere to strict regulations. By only using premium ink, we guarantee our clients will receive the best quality tattoo in Bali that will last a lifetime.
Tattoo Virgins
We’ve got you! We were all first timers too once upon a time and can understand how scary it is to find the right Bali tattoo studio (when there’s so many to choose from) and finally book in your tattoo.
You’ve found the right place because we love first timers, and we’ve made it super simple for you to get started:
- Research and find some reference pictures of the styles and designs you like. We recommend browsing Pinterest and Google images, screenshotting them and creating a mini tattoo vision board.
- Take a look at our Instagram page and pick an artist that you like.
- Contact our admin team to book a free consultation and the tattoo appointment with the artist you prefer.
- At your consultation, please bring your reference pictures and be ready to explain your vision to your artist. If you decide to go ahead with your appointment, we’ll provide you with a rough quote and you’ll need to leave a deposit to secure your booking.
- Your design will be ready to view on the day of your tattoo appointment. We make sure to put aside adequate time to make any amendments to your design before we begin tattooing.
- Make sure you come to your appointment well rested, clean and with a full belly of food. We accept cash only at our studio so please come prepared.

Design Process
Getting a tattoo is a deeply personal journey, and at our tattoo studio in Canggu, we understand that the final tattoo design is a beautiful combination of your ideas and our artist’s vision and style.
Trust is at the centre of a successful tattoo collaboration. Clients should feel confident in their artist’s technique, experience, and skill, while artists rely on the trust of their clients to ensure open communication and a seamless tattooing experience.
During your consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas and visions with your artist. While we encourage open communication, we also urge you to trust in your artist’s creative autonomy. They’ve spent years honing their craft and understanding what makes a great tattoo. Granting them the freedom to work their magic leads to a fun and meaningful tattoo experience for both you and your artist.
Please note that you won’t get to see the design or request changes until your tattoo appointment. This might seem like a leap of faith, but rest assured, our artists are skilled and experienced. We got you!

Making a Booking
When making an appointment in our studio, we recommend booking well in advance via Instagram DM or WhatsApp and sending the following information through:
- The date you’d like to complete your tattoo (we recommend choosing the second last or last day of your holiday)
- Tattoo ideas/reference images
- Your preference for color or black and grey
- Where you’d like the tattoo on your body and how large, roughly in cm (please include a clear image of the body part you’d like tattooed. Circling the exact area is a bonus)
- Your preferred artist (if you’re unsure, we’ll pair you with an artist that specializes in the style of tattoo you’d like)
Once you get in contact with us and we see your tattoo ideas, we’ll offer you a consultation at the start of your holiday and tattoo appointment on the second last or last day of you trip. You’ll need to pay a 20% deposit to secure your tattoo booking. We accept Wise, direct bank transfers (Indonesian banks ONLY) or PayPal.
Walk-ins:
Walk-ins are most welcome in our studio, but please note that availability might be limited. We recommend visiting us as soon as you arrive in Bali to secure a spot with one of our talented artists.
Terms & Conditions
We accept cash only at Loft N5, so please come to your tattoo appointment prepared. If you forget, our team will direct you to the closest and most reliable ATM machine close to the studio.
Should you need to reschedule your appointment unexpectedly, please let us know a MINIMUM of two days before your tattoo session to avoid losing your deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable if you try to reschedule less than 48 hours before your tattoo appointment or fail to show up. Rescheduling appointments is a process that takes time, and we want to protect our artists from losing out on other jobs.

Yes, we welcome walk-ins in our studio. Pop into the studio when you arrive in Bali to ensure you can secure an appointment to get your Bali tattoos!
We recommend booking your free consultation and tattoo in Bali before you travel so you don’t miss out! Contact us while you’re finalising your accommodation and other activities.
If you get in touch in advance, we’ll book your free consultation at the start of your trip and your tattoo appointment on the second last or last day of your vacay.
NO! Tanning and swimming with a new Bali tattoo puts you at risk of infection, the ink falling out, and your tattoo not healing perfectly!
If you want your tattoo in Bali to last the ages, get tattooed at the end of your vacay!
Cover-ups are absolutely doable, but it does depend on the tattoo that needs covering. It’s best to book a free consultation with one of our talented tattoo artists to determine whether cover-up is possible.
To secure your tattoo appointment with our studio, we need to take a 30% deposit, which we’ll take off the total cost of your tattoo.
You can pay your deposit via Wise, Revolut or direct bank transfers (Indonesian banks only).
We accept cash only for the tattoo, so please come to your appointment prepared.
We don’t sell numbing cream in our Bali tattoo studio.
If you’re sensitive to pain and prefer using numbing cream, please purchase it beforehand and come to your appointment one hour before your tattoo so we can prepare.
